The tumbleweeds
I remember seeing tumbleweeds as I drove across the high desert early last year. "Well I'll be darned," said I to no one in particular.
Not something you see everyday in Ireland. :)
Sent from my BlackBerry 10 smartphone.
haha! I'm so used to tumbleweeds (being from San Diego) that I forget they look like strange creatures to others. Some get to be huge! I, not being from Ireland, thought it strange to see gypsy caravans along the sides of roads. :)
ReplyDeleteStrange indeed, River. I imagine that each place has its own strangeness, that doesn't seem strange to the locals.
DeleteBut I was most impressed to see the tumbleweeds (and even more pleased that they gave me my 'T' haiku!)
We don't have tumbleweeds here - but I loved the haiku it conjured up the vision of it tumbling and tossing seeds into the air. ^_^
ReplyDeleteGlad I captured the image, Helen. Over the course of April there have been a few of these that I might consider real haiku. This is one.
