A wide belt of green
Curves towards gentle hills
The tramp of feet
Perfume and perspiration
A wide belt
Separates soft curves
Confident step following step
Following the pace of music
strapped to her forearm
Past the older couple
Slowly keeping pace with one another
Across the street
Across the years
A young man stands
Phone raised to ear, forgotten
Looking long after long-lost love
As the birds chase across the sky
in the song of early Spring
And I've changed the snippet of The Goldberg Variations on its page. It now includes the "The Woman She Will Become" story.
