Small Stone #27

I'm going to borrow the haiku that came to me early this morning when I saw a robin:

Gray Winter morning / A flash of brown splashed with red / Spring! a robin hints

Thank you for your indulgence.

  1. Spotting a robin will be a much bigger deal to you now that you're in snow country. ;)

    1. Thanks, Laura. Over the past few Christmases I've spent here in Kansas City, there've been very few that had any snow — and only one with anything serious. Still, I'm looking forward to the seasons.

  2. Nice haiku, Kevin. It has been years since the Robins headed south for the winter here in St. Louis. They are year round birds here, though not in the numbers you see them in the warm seasons. They always bring a smile to my face.

    1. Thanks, Jon. It was good to see one. The morning was a little gray and cold. The robin brightened everything.
