A young man with a grin so wide the top half of his head seemed like it would blow away in a light breeze. His girl/wife/sweetheart on the screen of his laptop chatting and laughing.
This "Small Stones" exercise has been of much value, Laura. It's caused me to look more closely at the world around me, and then allow my fondness for story loose.
I regret, however, that this driving has taken time and energy away from my haiku. Still, that will reassert itself soon enough.
