There is a lot to be said for pragmatism and flexibility. And even more to be said for courageous vision.
My father commented at least once that Americans are a pragmatic people. I caught the hint that this, for him, was not a significant virtue.
My belief is that Americans demonstrated pragmatism, flexibility and much courageous vision yesterday.
You should be proud of yourselves.
